The Invisible Partnership
![]()
Most people only get to experience one dimension of their business partnership and are often left with the feeling that “I will never ever again work with my husband, wife...” – fill in your own blank ..........
Learning to work with each other has, to say the least, been an experience – both interesting and challenging. And, we’re clear that its one not everyone could do — or would want to
During our journey of learning to work and live together powerfully, we discovered that we made it far more complicated than it needed to be. Therefore, we had to learn to see “life as a dance” and something to be lived and enjoyed. And, be willing to continually look for an easy and effortless way of being together versus the compromising, competing and conflict-based reality that we too often hear about.
Getting to the place of living “life as a dance” saw us through a rollercoaster ride: sometimes exhilarating, often frightening and frequently frustrating. However, the outcome is that we are still together.
We're often asked, “Can any married couple be good business partners?” The answer is: absolutely, but only if you both want to. Of course, one partner cannot force the other to work in the business against their will. That's a sure path to a disastrous working relationship, and will create conflicts and ill-feeling that will follow you home.
At one point, we were not only close to questioning the validity of such a possibility; we were so resigned and cynical we didn’t even entertain the notion that working together happily could become a reality. It was only due to our sheer stubbornness in not giving in to adversity that drove us to give it a serious go.
And if that relationship is not as strong as it could be, then bringing in the partner could very easily accentuate any weaknesses that already exist ...just like the straw that broke the camel’s back.
In our case, this is what has enabled our relationship to go to a level that is positively exhilarating.
The Invisible Partnership will elaborate on these fundamental points, putting them under the microscope and looking at them from different angles so we can make the invisible visible, and the obvious, even more obvious.
The reason why couples make great business partners is because they have exceptionally good communication between them. Not just the words we say or the body language. There is also a psychic communication, which we will examine at length.
In The Invisible Partnership our intention is to illuminate your journey with our experiences so you can successfully work with each other.
At the end, if we have contributed to making your life loving, exciting and a joyful waltz, we have succeeded in what we set out to do. And if you have benefited from our experience, we thank you for providing us with that opportunity.
We welcome you to your new adventure.
